Croft Circuit is inviting media to re-live what many believe were motor rallying’s glory days by attending a special sneak preview of the massively popular Roger Albert Clark Rally.

The event is held in memory of late Seventies British rally hero Roger Clark and very much in the spirit of the old Lombard RAC Rallies that wowed the nation from the Sixties through to the early Eighties – think Ford Escort MKIs & MKIIs, Porsche 911s, Lancia Stratos, Vauxhall Chevette HSRs and Mini Coopers to name but a few…

On Tuesday 22 November a selection of these iconic cars that will be contesting 2011’s R.A.C – acknowledged as one of the world’s ‘blue riband’ events for historic rally cars – will be at Croft Circuit.

There will be opportunities to film/photograph the cars and even experience a co-driver’s eye view with a high-speed passenger ride in some of them. Drivers will also be available for interviews as will key members of the organising team.

Less than two weeks later on Saturday 3 December the R.A.C will be back at Croft Circuit for its two competitive timed special stages which form part of this year’s R.A.C route (Fri 2 to Mon 5 Dec) that includes a further 20 stages in the forests of North Yorks, Kielder, the Borders, Dumfries and Cumbria.

We very much hope you can join us at Croft Circuit on Tuesday 22 November for our preview of this quite exceptional event – not just for the UK motor sport calendar and motoring enthusiasts alike but also for communities right across the North East and West regions.

Those wishing to attend please reply asap by emailing Croft Circuit Media Officer Carl McKellar carl.mckellar@mpacreative.com or calling 01372 414120.
